Soo-Bahk-Do Karate develops strength, balance, flexibility, concentration, self-control and self confidence. The YMCA’s program has produced more than 200 Black Belts and six Master Instructors. Our students can trace their lineage directly to Grand Master Hwang Lee, the founder of Moo Duk Kwan. Instructor Mary Ann Walsh is a certified teacher with a Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt University. This class is an integrated Fitness and Nutrition Education program for overweight youth ages 10-15. The youth will participate in various fitness programs and will learn healthy eating habits to complement the fitness activities. All classes will start on time, so please arrive 10 minutes early. Wear sweats & sneakers and don’t forget to bring a drink!
ACTIVITIES VARY EACH WEEK AND WILL INCLUDE: Physical Fitness, Nutrition, Water Fitness (bring a bathing suit & towel) Cycling, Circuit Training, Muscle Madness

The YMCA will hold Holiday Family Fun Days. They will be open to all youth and family members ONLY. These are carnival-like programs with face and nail painting, string art, games, arts-n-crafts and much more!

Begins October 11th This program is for girls and boys 6-10 years of age ONLY. This is a supervised, organized activity that includes gym, swim and arts’n crafts. Participants need to bring a lunch, a towel and a swim suit. Same day registration at the YMCA Front Desk. No class on October 25th or December 13th. Children must be signed in and out every Saturday. Saturdays 11:30 am-2:30 pm Free to YMCA members $12 per child per Saturday for Non-members |

This YMCA youth weight lifting program is led by a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer. Throughout each session, you will learn and develop skills in your body’s muscles and their growth, free weight exercises, proper weight lifting form and technique, weight lifting tips and myths and nutrition. Saturdays: 9:30-10:15 am. YMCA Members: $38 Non-members: $50 Four Week Sessions: October 4—October 25 November 1—November 22
