This Yoga class creates a harmony of movement for the whole body. Senior Yoga Stretch is taught from a seated and standing position to enhance the flow and energy created in combination with restorative breathing exercises. This class offers a variety of safe and effective options designed to increase flexibility and balance to improve each individual’s sense of well being. |

This fitness class, for anyone 65 and older, helps increase muscular strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Participants use balls, tubing and light weights. This is a very popular class that is both productive and fun! |

Designed for the “Over 50” crowd. Easy Does It helps build the cardiovascular system, strengthen muscles and improve flexibility. Exercise Level: Beginner and up: we recommend you consult your physician prior to participation. Seniors may be asked for proof of age. |

The YMCA Seniors Group holds meetings at 1 pm on the second Monday of each month in the Youth Room at the YMCA. Meetings are open to all area seniors. The $3 admission covers the cost of lunch. Cooper’s Seafood. 3 miles, easy · May 28: Keystone College Trails -(La Plume) - Patsel’s. 3 miles, moderate. · June 11: Promised Land State Park -(Promised Land) - Conservation Island and Nature Trail to eagle watch platform. Rangers Inn. 2 miles easy. · June 25: Condella Park-(Olyphant)-Meander along the Lackawanna River through Mellow Park to Bratty Park. Colaruso’s. 3 miles easy. · July 9: O & W Rail Trail-(Starlight)-Walk along the rail-trail and/or lake. Inn at Starlight. 3 miles easy. · July 23: Tobyhanna Lake-(Tobyhanna)-Walk part way around the lake and back, blueberries! Hazzard’s Raintree. 3 miles easy. · August 6: Skytop-(Skytop)-Walk to waterfall, stream and around the lake. Skytop Golf Restaurant. 4 miles easy. · August 20: Switchback Trail-(Jim Thorpe)-Tour the Old Jail and hike the Switchback Trail. Penn’s Peak. 3 miles moderate. · September 3: Nay Aug Park-(Scranton)-Nature trail, waterfall, bridge and tree house. Sibio’s. 2 miles moderate. · September 24: Sapsucker Woods-(Ithaca)-Tour Ornithology Lab and walk the woods trails; Taughannock Falls if timer permits.
