Thank you for making our online registration tool such a remarkable success! ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Important Information if you are a Greater Scranton YMCA Member If you are already a member of the Greater Scranton YMCA or if you have registered for YMCA programs, made a charitable contribution, or are currently on our mailing list, you do NOT need to create a new account. Please choose the option “I’m new to online registration” and use the FIND ME option to find your existing membership account to sign in for the first time. DO NOT use “Create a New Account”, if you do so, your registrations will not be associated with your existing account. If your current e-mail address is not associated with your account, please contact Loretta to have it updated prior to using the Online Registration tool.

Frequently Asked Questions
How else can I register for a Program?
The Greater Scranton YMCA wants to help make your program registration as convenient as possible. Our online registration system is one way that you can register for programs, however, not all of our programs are available online. Please visit the facility at 706 N. Blakely Street, Dunmore. Note that any child-care and/or summer camp registrations must be completed in person.
Does it cost more/less to register online?
No. Registering online is a service we are offering to YMCA program participants. At this time there are no additional fees or incentives to register online.
Can I purchase a YMCA membership online?
No. We feel it is important to meet prospective members in person at the YMCA. It is an important step towards getting to know each of our members and helping develop the sense of community and understanding of what makes the YMCA different from other organizations. You CAN however RENEW your membership on-line. See next question for additional information on renewing memberships.
Can I renew my YMCA membership online?
Yes! If your membership has expired, you can go to the same web page that you use for program registration, and IF your membership has actually run out, after you sign in with your password, just below your name “Do you wish to renew your membership?” will appear. This will only appear if your membership has actually run out. For example, if your membership is current today, but will expire tomorrow, this question will not appear until tomorrow, therefore you would not be able to renew on-line until tomorrow. If you have have questions regarding your membership, please contact Loretta Strehle.
Whom can I notify regarding errors or other technical concerns?
We work hard to ensure that this web site is accurate and fully functional at all times. However, if you spot a data error or have difficulties using our site, you can contact Diana and she will strive to help resolve the problem.
Can I ask particular Program instructor a question?
When you are reviewing class information and availability, you will notice a “More Information” link under the class times and days. If an instructor has already been assigned to a class, their name, but not their specific contact information, will be listed. This is an effort to protect the personal information of our part-time staff. However, our Management Team members are happy to answer questions about specific programs. Visit the contact YMCA Staff page for their e-mail.

What Is A Member? You are already a member if you: · Have a membership with monthly or annual dues. · Have registered for a YMCA program in the past year. · Have donated money to the YMCA in the past year. |

Is Joining Required? You must be in our system (database) to use online registration. · If you are interested in becoming a YMCA Facility Member (a member in the traditional sense with full-facility privileges and monthly and/or annual dues), please stop by the YMCA to join. · If you are interested in only participating in programs, then you are considered a “Non-Member Participant” member in our system. Joining as a non-member participant may be done online: * Click “I’m new to online registration” * Click “Create a New Account”

I’m Already A Member OPTION #1: If you know your registered email and password, simply enter them and click “Sign In” Note; If you click “I forgot my password” your password will be emailed to the email address on file.
OPTION #2: If you have never registered online with the YMCA then click “I’m new to online registration.”
Caution: Do not click “Create New Account” if you are already a member (see What is a Member). · Enter the requested information and click “Find Me” · Enter your email address and password · Use this information when you are returned to the Sign in screen
HELP: If you receive an error message after clicking “Find Me” and you are a member (see What is a Member) then we probably have inaccurate information on your membership account. This most commonly occurs if we do not have your correct Date of Birth, if your Zip Code has changed, or if we misspelled your last name. Contact the YMCA at 570-342-8115 or email Loretta to have this information updated for you so that you can log in and register for programs online. |

Finding Your Program CHOOSE YOUR PROGRAM · Choose a Category (such as Aquatics) · Choose an Activity Group (such as Preschool Swim Lessons) · Click your Program (such as Pikes) If you are unsure as to what program you want, please contact the Director in charge of the program you are interested in
CHOOSE YOUR SESSION Once you’ve chosen your program, all of the available sessions will be listed on the screen. · Check the session you wish to register for · Check “I have read and agree with the following waiver” · Click Next
CHOOSE THE PARTICIPANT · You will now be asked who will be participating in the program. All individuals on your membership unit will be listed. Note: If a member of your family does not appear in the list, contact the YMCA at 570-342-8115 or email Loretta to have them added. Do NOT register someone else in their place.

Checking Out Once you’ve chosen all of the programs you wish to register for click “Check Out”

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION You will receive a registration confirmation via email. If you do not receive an email confirmation, contact the YMCA at 342-8115 or email Loretta to verify that your email address in our system is correct.
Note: You will not receive confirmation for free classes or joining a wait list. Confirmations are only sent for payments received.
Help: Some email Spam blocking tools require that you allow emails to be received form us before you can receive the confirmation emails. Be certain that your Spam filter allows email from lestrehle.com, dsdemps@aol.com, sharunymca@epix.net and daxko.com. |

Wait Lists If a program is full when you chose to register for it, you will be entered into the wait list for that program. If space in this program becomes available or if we add another session, you will be contacted by YMCA staff in the order in which you entered the waiting list. |

Discounts/Scholarships At this time, our online registration system does not accept any form of discounts, system credits, or scholarships. If you register for a program online and pay in full, you can have these applied to your registration and receive a system credit by contacting dsdemps@aol.com |
