Things to remember…

· Membership “scanner” cards are issued to youth, college and adult members of the YMCA.  Members should scan their cards at the Front Courtesy Desk each time the visit the YMCA.

· Children 6 years and older should use the appropriate locker rooms to dress.  The YMCA now has a Family Changing room for the convenience of our families.

· The Greater Scranton YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items while members or visitors are participating in YMCA activities.

· The YMCA offers several meeting rooms to community groups for a small rental fee.  Room rental also includes use of our spacious parking areas.

· The Greater Scranton YMCA will not turn anyone away because of an inability to pay for membership or programs.  Financial assistance is available thanks to generous support of our Annual Giving Campaign and from the United Way.  To find out more about financial assistance, contact the Associate Program Director for a suitable, confidential appointment.

· Did you know that you are “Always Welcome at a YMCA?”  The A.W.A.Y program offers Y members the opportunity to stay in shape and keep in touch while away from home.  There are more than 1,000 YMCA’s nationwide that participate in the A.W.A.Y. program.

· If you would like a free tour of the “Y”, contact Paula Scotchlas, Senior Program Director.

· The YMCA gladly accepts personal checks for membership and program fees, however a $30 service charge will be assessed for any check that is returned from the bank.

· The YMCA reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program due to low enrollment or unforeseen facility changes.

· Gift certificates for membership, program fees and other services are available year round at the YMCA Front desk.

· YMCA members are invited to “Bring a Friend” the first Monday of every month.  This allows each Y member to bring one friend, free of charge, to the YMCA.

· In the event of an emergency alarm, all members and guests must vacate the building immediately.

· The YMCA has a family changing room available in Pool A.  Members who wish to use the changing room should pick up a changing room pass at the front desk.
