· Children begin Pre-School at three (3) years of age. Our well developed curriculum is designed to stimulate and expand each child’s potential. We offer an individualized, child-oriented program in all pre-academic areas including pre literature, math, science, sensorial, practical life and creative art. Also included are movement education and swimming lessons. Responsibility and social skills are also reinforced.

· Learning activities and group lessons are repeated to provide optimal experiences for all children, including those that attend part-time.

COST: $30/day (3 day minimum)

The Greater Scranton YMCA’s Child Care Center operates

6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday 52 weeks a year.

· Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare

· Title XX participating facility

· Funded by the Department of Education for learning materials and books.

· Partner with Head Start

· Many activities are relaxing and allow each child to explore his or her own interests.

· Special individual attention to toddler’s physical development (including potty training) and speech development

· Typical day: social development, music, educational activities, stories, finger plays, snack and outdoor play in our spacious, fenced play yard
